A 26 year old St. Thomas man finds himself being on the wanted list after a weekend domestic assault.
The incident occurred at a North end residence on Saturday May 30, 2015 at approximately 11:30pm. The accused attended the victims’ residence after having consumed alcohol. A verbal argument began which quickly became physical. The male began choking the female with both hands, stomping on her face, and then threatened her to not call the police.
On Sunday May 31, 2015 the 27 year old female victim called police after receiving medical attention. She suffered non-life threatening injuries.
As a result, a warrant has been issued for the male for the following offences: fail to comply with probation X5, assault, uttering threats to cause death and forcible confinement. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
On May 31, 2015 at approximately 8:30pm, a 24 year old St. Thomas man began banging on the door of his girlfriends residence. He was able to gain entry to the residence and the female exited through the rear door. At approximately 10:00pm the female returned home, believing the male was gone. The male had stayed in the area, he pushed the female inside the residence and locked the door, preventing her from leaving. A verbal argument ensued which turned physical. The male began pushing, punching and preventing her from screaming for help. Police received a 911 hang up call from the residence.
Through investigation, Police were able to determine the location of the residence and arrested the accused. As a result the male was charged with Break and Enter, Assault X2, Forcible Confinement, Uttering threats to cause bodily harm and possession of Marihuana. He was held pending a bail hearing. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
