Domestic Break and Entry

On Saturday March 12, 2016 police responded to an address on the North Side of the City regarding a break and enter that just occurred. When police arrived they were told the suspect had fled the residence and the area. The suspect was not located. The suspect is known to also frequent the Aylmer area. An interview with the occupant and consequent investigation revealed this occurrence to be domestic in nature. The suspect had broken into the residence assaulted the occupant and threatened the occupant with weapons. The occupant did attend Elgin General Hospital for precuationary measures. Police are trying to locate Timothy Smith. He is 32 years of age. He was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt, blue jeans and a ball cap. Smith may be in possession of a weapon and should be considered dangerous. Smith will be charged with numerous domestic related offences that would include threats, assaults and weapon offences.
