A 39 year old St. Thomas man finds himself wanted for assault after a domestic dispute. The male and his girlfriend of 5 years became involved in a verbal argument around 10pm on July 10, 2013. The argument over infidelities within the relationship turned physical when the male shoved the 44 female victim into the wall. The victim lost consciousness and suffered an abrasion to her head. Police are actively looking for the male. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Disturbance leads to arrest
In the early morning hours of July 11, 2013 Police responded to a disturbance at a Holland Ave apartment. Upon arrival Police could not locate a disturbance. A 32 year old female and 41 year old male both heavily intoxicated were eventually located, spoken to and began to argue in front of Officers. The female, after officers made many attempts to resolve the matter was eventually arrested for Breach of the Peace. The male then became assaultive towards police, charging them and punching at them. He was pepper sprayed by officers. He was taken to St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital for decontamination and held for court. He was charged with assaulting Police officers and resist arrest. No Officers were injured during this incident.
