On Saturday November 1, 2014 shortly before 12:30 pm the St. Thomas Police were called to a residence in regards to a domestic disturbance. When Police arrived the evidence revealed that a verbal argument had turned physical and the female 911 caller had been assaulted. Her common-law boyfriend a 44 year old male was located a short distance away from the residence and was placed under arrest for one count of Assault. The male was taken into custody and later released on a Promise to Appear with a future court date. The female victim did not require any medical attention.
No Longer on the run
On Saturday November 1, 2014 at around 10:20 pm the St. Thomas Police learned that a wanted party with 6 outstanding arrest warrants relating to incidents that had taken place in the City of St. Thomas was currently in custody with another police service. The St. Thomas Police attended and took over custody of Justin Lariviere (29 years old) and returned him to the City of St. Thomas to answer to numerous outstanding charges. The oustanding arrest warrants were in relation to several criminal offences, including; Breaking and Entering, Failing to Attend Court, and Failing to comply with Recognizance and Probation orders. Lariviere was held in custody for a weekend court appearance.
