E-Bike driver charged with Impaired Driving

Just after 9:30pm on September 28th, the St. Thomas Police received an anonymous call regarding a possible impaired driver on an E-Bike. The suspected driver was located on Moore Street South of Wellington Street in the City of St. Thomas.

As a result of the conversation with the male, the Officer could smell alcohol coming from his breath and administered the roadside screening test, to which the driver failed. He was placed under arrest for Drive – More than 80mgs, and brought back to the Police Station. There he provided breath samples that registered twice the legal limit.

As a result of the investigation, 67 year-old Carl Fleming of St. Thomas has been charged with Drive – More than 80mgs, as well as Driving while Disqualified. He was later released with a future court date
