At approximately 1:36am on September 18, 2015, Police attempted to stop an E-Bike in the area of Wellington St and Second Ave for operating without a working taillight.
The operator failed to stop for Police. He began swerving into oncoming traffic, running three stop signs, and turned down a steep embankment to which he lost control. The male began running into a ravine where police caught up with him. The male had a strong odour of alcohol coming from his breath and was immediately arrested.
Following the investigation, 39 year old Jason Cutter of St. Thomas has been charged with Impaired Driving, Drive with more than 80mg, Driving while Disqualified X2, and Flight from Police. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
