On October 23, 2015 at approximately 11:30 pm, St. Thomas Police arrested a 34 year old St. Thomas woman for impaired operation and drive with more than 80 mgs of alcohol. The arrest was made shortly after police received information from a citizen regarding an erratic driver travelling southbound on Highbury Ave, heading into the city. The information from the caller was that the southbound motor vehicle was actually at times, travelling southbound in the northbound lane at varying speeds. The vehicle was located and stopped by police on Burwell Road. The female was subsequently arrested and transported to the police station where she provided two samples of her breath that were found to contain nearly three times the legal limit of alcohol. The accused was later released from custody with a future court date.
