Impaired Driver

On the 16th of October 2016, at approximately 8:20pm Officers attended the area of Alma St and Nolan St in regards to a fail to remain collision that occurred. A piece of the vehicles bumper was left behind at the scene. Officers received information about the location of the vehicle, they attended and confirmed the missing piece was a match. Officers then attended the owners residence where he was placed under arrest for Impaired Operation and Fail to Remain. He was brought to the station where he provided breath sample of 3X the legal limit.

The 49-year old man from St. Thomas faces charges of Impaired Operation, Drive with more than 80mgs and Fail to remain at the scene of a collision. He was later released upon sobriety with a future court date.
