Impaired Driver / Refusal

St. Thomas Police were called to a motor vehicle collision up on Sandy Mount Hill around 9:23pm on March 8, 2015. Upon arrival Police located a single motor vehicle partially in a snow bank. The driver, a 36 year old St. Thomas man was exhibiting signs of impairment by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.

He was brought to the St. Thomas Police station to provide suitable samples of his breath in which he refused to do so. The driver was held in custody until he reached a state of sobriety and charged with Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle and refuse to provide a breath sample. He also received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension.
