Impaired Driving

September 1st just after midnight police were notified of a possible impaired driver at a local restaurant in the downtown area. Police attended the area and spoke with the driver involved. The 62 year old female driver was arrested after she registered a “fail” on a roadside screening device. She was taken to the police station where she provided breath samples into an Intoxilyzer. The results of these samples were over the legal limit and the female was charged for driving having in excess of 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The female was released with a September court date.
