London pair caught stealing in St. Thomas

On four separate occasions during the month of November, Elizabeth Lethbridge (29 years from London), and Vincent Laviolette (34 years from London), attended a local grocery store and removed numerous items from meat to electronics.

On November 26, 2014, the pair were spotted once again inside the store by loss prevention. Attempts were made to exit the store each pushing a shopping cart with a total value of approximately $1400.00. They had observed St. Thomas Police outside and left the carts in the vestibule and attempted to leave in a vehicle. False information was given in attempts to obstruct the investigations.

As a result, Lethbridge has been charged with Theft Under $5000 X4, Breach of Probation and Obstruct Police and was held for Court. Laviolette has been charged with Theft Under $5000 X3 and was released with a future Court date.

Attempt B&E and Mischief

On November 27, 2014 at 7:14am, a 25 year old Shane ROBERTSON from St. Thomas was caught red handed attempting to gain entry to a Talbot Street address using a crow bar. The male was immediately placed under arrest. The male was found to be in possession of property believed to be from vehicles in the area of the west end Talbot Street (core area). ROBERTSON is currently facing charges of Attempt Break & Enter and Mischief.
He was held pending a bail hearing.

Police are asking anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a theft or can identify any property to please contact them at 519-631-1364. Cst. Evans will be investigating any vehicle entries that may have occurred.
