Male Arrested for Stealing Donation Box

On November 12, 2012 at approximately 10:30 AM, police attended to a downtown pharmacy to investigate the theft of a Poppy donation box. A male was observed on video camera taking the poppy box and walking out of the pharmacy on November 11 at 12:53 PM. The male was easily identified by staff as he had just received prescription medication at the pharmacy prior to the theft. Police have charged 24 year old St. Thomas resident Brooks Ferris with theft under $5000 and for breaching a term of his probation. Ferris was held in custody pending a November 13 court appearance. Neither the poppy box, nor its contents have been recovered.
