Man arrested for breach

On Wednesday afternoon August 2, 2012 St Thomas responded to a 9-1-1 call at a South end home. Upon officers arrival two males were observed fighting within the residence. Investigation of the incident resulted in police arresting and charging a 23 year old male with breaching the terms of a Recognizance interim release order by failing to notify police of his address change, and being within the city of St Thomas when prohibited from doing so. The accused was also wanted on an outstanding warrant from London Ontario. He was held at police headquarters pending a Thursday August 2, 2012 court appearance.

Disturbance leads to arrests

On Wednesday August 1, 2012 St Thomas Police attended a North end apartment regarding a disturbance. Police say around 9:50PM four people involved in the disturbance were arrested and charged with numerous offences that includes assault, resist arrest, assaulting a peace officer, escape lawful custody, breaching the terms of an interim release order, and breach of probation. While investigation the disturbance officers observed marihuanna plants growing within the apartment. A search warrant was executed with a large number of marihuanna plants being seized. The total street value of the plants was $ 9000.00. Additional charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and production of a controlled substance were processed against two adult males. All people were held at police headquarters pending a Thursday August 2, 2012 court appearance.
