On Wednesday July 4, 2012 a 51 year old man turned himself in at police headquarters on an outstanding warrant for sexual assault, and uttering death threats. The male was taken before a justice of the peace and remanded in custody. The warrant was issued for the male following a complaint by the man’s ex girlfriend regarding an incident at a South end home on June 27, 2012.
Shortly after 3:30PM Wednesday July 4, 2012 Anne Marie Springer a 29 year old St Thomas resident was apprehended by store security for shoplifting at a Talbot Street retail store. She was later released by police on conditions that included a future court date.
St Thomas Police arrested and charged a 24 year old male on Wednesday July 4, 2012 for assaulting his girlfriend. The victim did not require medical treatment. The man was held at police headquarters pending a Thursday July 5, 2012 court appearance.
Man charged with multiple offences
On Wednesday evening July 4, 2012 St Thomas Police attended a Talbot Street apartment regarding a noise complaint. Police say around 11:37 PM numerous complaints were received regarding a man knocking on apartment doors. Investigation of the incident resulted in police arresting the 41 year old man for breaching an alcohol condition of his probation order and judicial interim release Recognizance order. During arrested the man threatened the officer leading to additional charges. The male was held at police headquarters pending a Thursday July 5, 2012 court appearance.
