Man arrested on outstanding charges

On Tuesday August 21, 2012 St Thomas Police arrested Richard Tyson Talbot a 32 year old St Thomas resident on outstanding charges for Perjury, Obstruction of justice, and breaching the conditions of his probation order. The accused was taken before a justice of the peace and remanded in custody at the Elgin Middlesex Detention Centre in London.

Impaired driver arrested

Shortly after 1:30AM Wednesday August 22, 2012 St Thomas Police conducted a traffic stop on Talbot Street. While speaking with the 58 year old male driver the officer formed an opinion his ability to operate the vehicle was impaired by alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to St Thomas Police headquarters where he supplied breath samples in excess of twice the legal limit. The accused was later released on conditions that included a future court date.

Trio arrested for car entries

During the early morning hours of Wednesday August 22 2012 St Thomas Police attended the areas of Barwick, Hill and Flora Street(s) regarding suspicious people. Investigation of the incident resulted in police arresting and charging two 16 year old male youths and an 18 year old adult male for breaking into vehicles. All were charged with theft under $5000, and trespass by night. They were later released on conditions that included a future court date.
