The St. Thomas Police were called to the Shoppers Drug Mart on First Ave around 3:30pm yesterday, after Loss Prevention Officers had chased a man that had fled the store with a PlayStation 4.

The St. Thomas Police were called to the Shoppers Drug Mart on First Ave around 3:30pm yesterday, after Loss Prevention Officers had chased a man that had fled the store with a PlayStation 4.

On April 22, 2014, a 35 year old London man had entered the store and was observed reaching over a counter, grabbing a Play Station 4 and attempted to conceal it in a Shoppers Drug Mart bag which he had brought with him. He left the store making no attempt to pay for the item and was chased, and eventually caught down Elm Street.

The male was currently on probation and wanted by both London Police Service and Waterloo Regional Police for unrelated matters. He was charged with Breach of Probation, Theft under $5000.00 and Resist a Public Officer. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
