Multiple charges laid after a Historical Domestic Investigation

In early November, 2016, St. Thomas Police became involved in a historical domestic related investigation that spanned over a period of 21 years. The 41-year old man and 44-year old female became involved in a relationship in 1994. Between 1995 and 2015, the victim advised police of numerous sexual assaults, sexual assaults with a weapon, mischiefs, threats to cause bodily harm, and pointing of a fire arm.

As a result the 41-year old man from St. Thomas was arrested on December 7, 2016. He faces a total of 32 criminal charges and was held pending a bail hearing.

    I agree with Joanne. The article clearly states: “Between 1995 and 2015, the victim advised police of numerous sexual assaults, sexual assaults with a weapon, mischiefs, threats to cause bodily harm, and pointing of a fire arm.” She obviously did come forward and for some reason charges were not laid…until now. I looks like she may be lucky to be alive.

    Problem here is there is a statue of limitations on all crimes except murder and kidnapping. I believe it is 5 years. Hope she gets the justice she deserves and he gets his punishment.
