On Monday, December 31, 2012 police attended a Curtis Street apartment regarding a threatening complaint. Upon arrival, the 51 year old victim advised police that she had been verbally threatened by her neighbour. The 29 year old suspect was later arrested without incident and remanded into custody.
House disturbance results in breach and CDSA charge
On Monday, December 31, 2012 police were called to an Alma Street residence regarding a house disturbance. As police arrived on the scene they located a 20 year old male leaving the residence. The male was spoken to and he stated that the disturbance was taking place inside the residence. In speaking with the man it became apparent that he was under the influence of alcohol. A check of the man revealed that he was on a probation order not to be consuming alcohol. The man was subsequently arrested for breaching his probation order and subsequent to search a small quantity of marihuana was located on him. At the same time, officers arrested a 21 year old male at the residence for breach of the peace and he was transported to the police station. Investigation revealed that the 21 year old male was in possession of the marihuana earlier. The 20 year old man faces charges for breach of probation and possession of a controlled substance, while the 21 year old man faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Both men were released from custody with a future court date.
Noisy party results in arrest
On Monday, December 31, 2012 police attended a Chester Street residence regarding loud music. When officers were speaking with the occupants they located a 23 year old, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant. The man was subsequently arrested on the warrant.
