There is never a good time to speed

At around 4:00am on September 9, 2016, a traffic stop was conducted on Sunset Rd West of Wellington Road after a motor vehicle was caught travelling 106km/h in a posted 60km/h zone.
As the Officer was speaking to the driver, an odour of alcohol was detected on the drivers breath. The driver provided a sample of his breath into the approved screening device in which he registered a fail. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Police Station where he provided breath samples to a qualified technician that registered nearly twice the legal limit.

The 46-year old Oakville man has been charged with drive more than 80mgs of alcohol and speeding. His drivers licence has also been suspended for an automatic 90 days. He was released once sober with a future court date.
