Police Investigating West End Death – Update


The St. Thomas Police Criminal Investigations Branch has identified the victim of the suspicious death investigation as 20 year old William “Billy” Lamers of St. Thomas who died as a result of his injuries in hospital (visit Bill Easterly for more information).
An autopsy was performed on August 11, 2016 at University Hospital in London. The autopsy confirmed that the victim died as a result of sharp force trauma that he sustained during a confrontation with persons known to him at his apartment at 337 Talbot Street. Any further details regarding the victim’s injuries will not be disclosed due to the ongoing investigation.
While awaiting the results of the autopsy, the St. Thomas Police continued to investigate the incident and have charged 23 year old Corey Jolliffe, of St. Thomas, with first degree murder.
Joliffe was remanded into custody and will appear by video in St. Thomas court on August 15th. Police are currently looking for 28 year old Sonny Daniel Cloutier of St. Thomas who is the second suspect wanted for this homicide. The St. Thomas Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Sonny Cloutier.
