Robbery at Mac’s Milk-Talbot Street…..

Police were alerted to a robbery at 0239 am at the Mac’s Milk convenience store located at Talbot st and Pearl st. A lone male attended at the store and brandished a hand gun demanding cigarettes and cash. The lone male clerk complied with the demands and the subject male fled the store running North away from the scene. The clerk was not injured. The K9 unit was called in to assist responding officers. A short time later a homeowner just north the city limits contacted police to advise that an unknown male had attended their residence asking to call a cab. Police responded to that address and located the suspicious male. Through further investigation it was determined that this male requesting a cab was in fact the male that had committed the robbery! At 0321, a 21 year old male of no fixed address was placed in custody for armed robbery. He is being held for further investigative purposes.
