The Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services is inviting applications from community-based, not-for-profit organizations for the 2013/14 SVC Grant totalling $35,000. Although police services are not eligible for this grant, we will support applicants who meet the eligibility criteria, with a letter of support.
The theme for the grant is “Crime Prevention: Early Intervention with Children and Youth At-Risk”. The ministry is seeking proposals that focus on addressing one or more of the risk and protective factors associated with crime outlined in the application guidelines. Applicants must show police involvement in the project as well as partnerships with other sectors/agencies for the effective delivery of an integrated response to local crime issues with the ultimate goal of preventing and reducing crime in Ontario.
Please note that completed applications, along with all supporting documentation, must be received by the ministry no later than 4:00pm on May 8, 2013.
The St. Thomas Police Service is committed to working with community members to ensure St. Thomas is a desirable, secure and safe place in which to live, work, and play.
Application documents can be obtained by contacting our Crime Prevention Officer, Constable Jeff DeLeeuw at email@example.com.
Please feel free to contact us to assist with any project ideas that you may have.
