On Friday, March 6th, 2015 at about 9:00 pm, the St. Thomas Police arrested a 29 year old St. Thomas man for shoplifting after he entered an east end retail store, selected some merchandise, then left without making any attempt to pay for it.  The man was stopped by store security, returned to the store and police were called.  The man was subsequently arrested for theft under $5000.  During a search of the man, a small quantity of an illicit medication was found on his person.  During the investigation, the man was found to be already facing charges for shoplifting from the previous week.  The man was then transported to the police station and held for a morning court appearance.
