On Tuesday September 18, 2012 St Thomas Police attended a Talbot Street retail store regarding a theft. Police say around 3:20PM store security observed four suspects loading stolen merchandise into a vehicle. A short time later police stopped the vehicle on Talbot Street. Police have charged a 50 year old female, 19 year old male, 25 year old female and 17 year old female youth with theft. All accused people were released on conditions that included a future court date. The stolen merchandise was recovered.
On Tuesday September 18, 2012 Waterloo Regional Police arrested Robert Liberty, a 26 year old male St Thomas resident on an outstanding warrant for theft. He was returned to St Thomas and will appear in court Wednesday September 19, 2012.
St Thomas Police are reinstituting a traffic project targeting heavy trucks that are parking on Edward Street and Laing Boulevard. Parking of heavy trucks in this area and on all city streets is prohibited under City of St Thomas Bylaw 45-89. Vehicle’s in violation of the law will be issued $ 25.00 parking tickets, and depending on the location of where they are parked may be towed.
Female arrested for outstanding warrant
On Monday September 17, 2012 a 25 year old female turned herself in at police headquarters on an outstanding warrant for theft under $ 5000. The accused was held at police headquarters pending a Tuesday September 18th court appearance.
