Stolen items found in abandoned truck

 

Shortly before 6:00pm, November 1, 2016, Police were called regarding a U-Haul truck which was being operated in an unsafe manner in the area of Woodworth Ave near Daniel St. Officers were advised the truck was travelling at a high rate of speed on Woodworth Ave and not stopping for any stop signs. It was also learned that the truck was involved in a fail to remain collision in a parking lot on Talbot St.

The truck was located abandoned at the dead end of Woodworth Ave near the Highway #3 By-Pass. A short distance away 2 suspects were located, provided false names and were arrested.

Loaded syringes and numerous forms of identification and other suspected stolen property was seized from the truck.

A 16-year old female from London, and a 23-year old man from London face charges such as; Breach of Probation, Obstruct Police, Possession of stolen property and Breach of Recognizance. They remain in custody while investigators continue go through all of the property. Further charges could be laid pending the investigation.
