Police were called after a citizen spotted a stolen vehicle being driven in the area of Talbot Street and Horton Street. The complainant recognized the vehicle as it had belonged to a friend who reported it stolen 2 days prior. The vehicle was located parked behind Pizza Pizza unoccupied and was confirmed stolen through local checks.
Police located the male that was driving the vehicle trying to elude them inside the Bank of Montreal across the street. On November 22, 2016 at 2:28pm the male was arrested. 49-year old, Pete PETERS, from St. Thomas faces charges of; Possession of unmarked cigarettes, Posses more than one licence, Possession of Break and Enter Instruments, Possession of stolen credit cards X2, Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.00 X3, Fail to comply with recognizance X4. He was held pending a bail hearing.
