On August 23, 2016 at approximately 10:30 PM, St. Thomas Police conducted a traffic stop in the west end of the city. Upon speaking to the male driver, the officer noticed that the male had been drinking alcohol. Subsequent investigation determined that the male had more than 80 mg of alcohol in his blood and he was arrested and transported to the St. Thomas Police station to provide breath samples. The driver, a 32 year old London man, was charged with one count of operating a motor vehicle with more than 80 mg’s of alcohol in 100 mL of blood and released with a future court date. The male’s licence was also suspended for 90 days.
