Youth charged with multiple offences

On Sunday July 29, 2012 St Thomas Police attended a North end home regarding a domestic related occurrence. Investigation of the incident resulted in police charging a 16 year old male youth with assault, possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, overcome resistance to the commission of an offence (choking), and breaching the terms of a probation order. The youth was held at police headquarters pending a Monday July 30, 2012 court appearance. The female victim did not require medical treatment.

Pedestrian struck

At about 4:00PM Sunday July 29, 2012 a 12 year old female youth was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Talbot Street. She was transported by ambulance to St Thomas General Hospital and treated for minor injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not charged.

Vehicle damaged

Sometime between 8:00PM Saturday July 28, 2012 and 9:00PM Sunday July 29, 2012 two front tires were slashed on a vehicle parked in the driveway of an Elm Street residence. Anyone with information is asked to contact the St Thomas Police Service at 519-631-1364 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
