Gorman-Rupp of Canada Limited joins PTDA

The PTDA (Power Transmission Distributors Association) was founded in 1960 and is based in Chicago, Illinois  It is the leading association for power transmission and motion control distribution. It is a United States based association that represents over 170 firms in ten different countries, including Canada. There are over 3,400 locations that generate more than $10 billion dollars in sales.

Late in 2012, the PTDA welcomed four new members, including one of St. Thomas‘s own, Gorman-Rupp of Canada Limited, who manufactures pump products and their general manager is Robert Furneaux.

For over 50 years, Gorman-Rupp of Canada Limited has manufactured high performance, high quality pumps and pumping systems required for lasting service in the municipal, water, wastewater, sewage, industrial, construction, petroleum, fire and OEM markets.

Gorman-Rupp’s extensive line of pump products include self-priming centrifugal pumps, standard centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, trash pumps, priming assisted pumps, and rotary gear pumps.

In addition, Gorman-Rupp of Canada Limited manufactures a complete line of state-of-the-art packaged lift stations and booster stations that include pumps, motors, controls, piping, accessories and enclosures.
