Pearce Williams Christian Camp Capital Campaign 10% closer to our final goal

Pearce Williams Christian Centre has received a huge boost in our Capital Campaign Wednesday July 17th from Springfield resident Giles Hume. Mr. Hume has donated 10% of the total Campaign goal, $450,000 to build the new Community Hall / Worship Space.

Mr. Hume has been actively involved in the United Church and was a board member at Pearce Williams Christian Centre in the early 1970’s.

Joe Richards, Executive Director, has had many talks with Mr. Hume over the past year and half since the Campaign started and was very pleased when he received the call, “This is the support that we have been hoping for and knowing we would get for this Campaign. Our goal of $4.5 million has 9 large projects in it and with Mr. Hume’s donation we can scratch one of those projects off the list.”

On Wednesday July 24th there will be an official presentation of this donation and photo opportunities for the press that you are invited to attend.
