The Canada Southern Railway Station (at 750 Talbot Street) in conjunction with the Elgin County Railway Museum (at 225 Wellington Street) will be hosting a railway day camp for children ages 6 – 12 the week of Monday, August 19 to Friday, August 23. The camp runs from 9:00AM to 4:00PM and earlier pick up or later drop off can be arranged for children who require it.

Registration is now open, so come in and fill out a registration form today! Registration forms can be filled out at the Canada Southern Railway Station.

The cost is $120/child, or $30 a day if you can’t make the full payment upfront.

Space is limited, so act fast! If you have questions, or would like more information please call the Station at (519) 633-2535, and ask for Emileigh or Justine.

At camp children will get to experience what it was like during the Railway Age in St. Thomas. Children will make railway themed crafts, visit local historical sites, learn about railway history, climb aboard the 5700 steam engine and a caboose, and much more.

The funding for summer students involved with running the camp has been provided by the Young Canada Works Program of the Department of Canadian Heritage through the Canadian Museum Association, and the Canada Summer Jobs program of Service Canada.
