Construction Advisory Notice – 2013 Sidewalk Replacement Program Elm Street, Aldborough Avenue, Old Talbot Street and Elysian Street

The City’s Contractor will be commencing construction on the following project:
2013 Sidewalk Replacement Program
Elm Street (South Side) – St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Entrance to Wood Street tentatively on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 (weather permitting) and the anticipated completion date is Thursday, June 6, 2013.

Aldborough Avenue (South Side) – Parish Street to Fairview Avenue tentatively on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 (weather permitting) and the anticipated completion date is Friday, June 7, 2013.

Old Talbot Street (South Side) – King Street to 60m East of Church Street tentatively on Thursday, June 6, 2013 (weather permitting) and the anticipated completion date is Monday, June 10, 2013.

Elysian Street (South Side) – Pearl Street to 30m West tentatively on Thursday, June 6, 2013 (weather permitting) and the anticipated completion date is Tuesday, June 11, 2013.

Dust and noise should be expected during construction and cannot be completely eliminated by the Contractor. Also, vibratory equipment will be used for compaction purposes. Residents are cautioned to remove any items that may fall from shelves and/or walls.

Please be aware of the potential hazards in the vicinity of the excavations and construction machinery, and inform children accordingly.
