Construction Advisory Notice – Crocker Avenue Crocker Avenue – Wellington Street to St. Annes Place

The City’s Contractor will be commencing construction on the following project:
Contract No. 13-08-631 Crocker Avenue from Wellington Street to St. Annes Place and
Contract No. 13-08-455-02 Crocker Avenue Building Demolitions and Parking Lot Construction on Monday June 24, 2013 (weather permitting) with the scheduled completion date of Friday, August 23, 2013.

The reconstruction work on Crocker Avenue involves: replacement of existing watermain and water services to property line; replacement of existing sanitary sewer and one sanitary service connection to property line; replace of existing sidewalk on west side only; and road reconstruction, including pavement widening with existing curb/gutter replacement and catch basin relocation.

The parking lot construction work involves: demolition of six residential buildings; installation of catch basins and storm connection outlet to Wellington Street storm sewer; installation of barrier curb and LED lighting; placement of granular/asphalt pavement structure; signage and line painting.

Access to your driveways will generally remain except when installing sewers or watermain in close vicinity of your property.
Future notice will be provided when curb/gutter and sidewalk construction will occur, and also asphalt placement.

When access to your property is not available, please park your vehicle on the streets in the surrounding area, but do not park in signed “time-regulated” or “no parking” zones, or you may be issued a ticket.

Dust and noise should be expected during construction and cannot be completely eliminated by the Contractor. Please be aware of the potential hazards in the vicinity of the excavations and construction machinery, and inform children accordingly.

During construction, vibratory equipment will be used for compaction purposes. Please take precautions to remove any items that may fall from shelves and/or walls, and may become damaged as a result of this vibration.
