Let The Preparations Commence!

For the past 6 days, I have divided my time between sending emails & receiving emails, along with folding the occasional load of laundry or vacuuming a room. Princess Project is in full swing this year, already. Its a great feeling to come into contact with wonderful people. Discovering, that, there are people out there that are genuine & good, with good intentions in tow.

I have excellent support from friends offering their help & their talents pro-bono for our upcoming event. Oh yes, our event, Princess Project is hosting a Spring Shopping Event during the day & A Passport to Pampering Ladies Night during the evening at the Bayham Community Centre in Straffordville, Ontario.

This is a very community minded village in Bayham Township, which houses a population of approximately 7000 people. Surrounded by picturesque farm land. Tobacco land with haunting reminders of the tobacco “hay-day”, now supporting other cash crops in its place.

Straffordville hosts the Watermelon Festival every August & the sleepy village is converted into a wonderland of fun & excitement with a good old fashion flair. The smell of fried onions & pulled beef on kaiser emits readily into the air. All the while screams of glee & excitement from happy children come from the mini fair setup.  Local vendors show their wares & engage in casual conversation with everyone who enters their booths. Its a friendly village with a very inviting spirit.

So we are very fortunate to have the Bayham Community Centre housing our event March 26, 2011.

Sorry, I got a little off track. So, Princess Project is looking for & locating vendors for our event. We are currently at 35 interested & verbally confirmed vendors for our daytime shopping event . We have secured a local speaker for our evening event, Prof. Joel Lamoure from the University of Western Ontario and a long time friend from our old alma mater East Elgin Secondary School in Aylmer. Kim Ariesen, the beautiful owner of Studio Style Ladies Apparel & Accessories in Port Stanley confirmed that she would be delighted to host the fashion show at our evening event. We are currently awaiting a few more confirmations for our event both day & evening events.

I am just so grateful to all that have contacted me with their want to help us & our cause. Well break time is up back to the email sending & receiving…Life is good!
Cheers!
