Fog Advisory

Near zero visiblity in fog is expected or occurring. Patchy fog has formed across much of Southwestern Ontario this morning as expected. Webcams and a trained Canwarn Spotter show patchy dense fog in a few localities, with visibility less than 250 metres. Areas of dense fog will persist until a couple hours after sunrise. before lifting slowly later this morning. In addition, with temperatures at or below freezing in many areas, untreated roads may be locally icy and slippery. Motorists should be prepared for sudden near zero visibility in dense fog, and locally icy roads, resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Weather Advisories for fog are issued when near zero visibilities in fog are expected or occurring. Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Please monitor local media or Weatheradio. To report severe weather, send an email to storm.ontario@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports to #ONStorm. Find out more ›
