ISSUED BY ENVIRONMENT CANADA AT 10:50 A.M. EDT SATURDAY 11 OCTOBER 2014
Under clear skies and light winds, overnight low temperatures over southern Ontario are expected to drop down to the freezing mark or a few degrees below the freezing mark. As a result, widespread frost is expected tonight. The only areas that will have slight above freezing temperatures are areas very close to the lakes. Temperatures are expected to be a few degrees milder Sunday night with the only areas at risk over eastern Ontario.
Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas. Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees. Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required, so stay tuned to your local media or Weatheradio. Email reports of severe weather to email@example.com or tweet with the hashtag #ONStorm.
