Special Weather Statement

Gusty winds accompanying bands of showers and the odd thunderstorm this afternoon. The unseasonably mild December weather continues across the region. And summer-type showers and the odd thunderstorm are combining with the record-breaking temperatures to create locally strong gusty winds. Local southwesterly winds of 50 gusting to 80 km/h are likely in some of the showers or thunderstorms that pass through, especially this afternoon into this evening. The gusty winds will ease later tonight. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to storm.ontario@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports to #ONStorm. Find out more ›
